I build the operating systems that let organizations grow without breaking. From founding the U.S. Space Force's enlisted recruiting architecture to leading sales and people operations at a civilian technology company, I work at the intersection of strategy, people, and execution.
My career has been defined by being handed problems without precedent — and building the systems to solve them. As a founding member of the U.S. Space Force, I designed and stood up the enlisted recruiting architecture for an entirely new branch of the military — operating with delegated two-star authority, no existing playbook, and a mandate to build from scratch.
Before that, I spent two decades leading large-scale operations across nuclear, space, and training environments — running a recruiting squadron, serving as Director of Operations at one of the largest training bases in the country, and working as Executive Officer to a two-star general at a major command.
After retiring, I brought that same operating discipline to SaaS Direct Technologies, where I rebuilt the CRM and pipeline infrastructure from scratch, built HR systems where none existed, and drove significant revenue growth while running both sales and people operations simultaneously.
I'm completing an Executive MBA at UC San Diego's Rady School of Management (June 2026) and actively building toward senior leadership roles in San Diego's clean energy, defense, and operations sectors.
Every meaningful role I've held started with the same mandate:
build what doesn't exist yet.
Each of these isn't a claimed skill — it's a documented track record across environments where the margin for error was real.
Built and optimized large-scale operating systems across military and commercial contexts — from basic training pipelines moving tens of thousands annually to startup CRM and revenue infrastructure.
Designed and launched new organizational structures from scratch. The United States Space Force (USSF) recruiting architecture, SaaS HR systems, and recruiting command overhaul are direct examples of zero-to-operational buildouts.
Doubled company revenue at SaaS Direct by rebuilding pipeline infrastructure, implementing CRM systems, and tying sales operations to data-driven accountability frameworks.
Served as Executive Officer to a two-star general and operated with delegated two-star authority. Proven ability to manage up, across, and down within complex multi-stakeholder environments.
Built HR systems and processes at SaaS Direct. Led personnel operations for hundreds of people across multiple organizations, including squadron command and recruiting at scale.
Designed strategy in high-stakes, resource-constrained environments — including inaugural program design for a new military branch and multi-year transformation planning at the major command level.
A career shaped by operational complexity, institutional transformation, and the consistent mandate to build what didn't exist yet.
Entered post-military via Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge. Promoted from program manager to leading both sales and people operations simultaneously. Rebuilt CRM and pipeline infrastructure from scratch, stood up HR systems where none existed, and led the company through a period of significant revenue growth.
Sworn into the U.S. Space Force on October 8, 2020 — the only USSF officer assigned to the Air Force Recruiting Service (AFRS). Built the entire USSF enlisted and officer recruiting enterprise from zero: selection criteria, application processes, board architecture, branding strategy, and recruiter assignments. Operated with delegated two-star authority from the AFRS Commander.
Commanded a 55-recruiter squadron with 33 offices across Southern California. Inherited a squadron that had missed goal the prior year. Hit 115%+ of production goal in both Fiscal Year 2019 (FY2019) and FY2020, earning Standard of Excellence both years. In FY2020, also won AFRS Most Improved Squadron of the Year — one of only two national squadron awards given annually by the AFRS commander, measured on prior-year performance delta. Notably, the squadron hit the 115%+ threshold the same year it won Most Improved, meaning the improvement was genuine, not a low-baseline artifact. The 372d Recruiting Group held both national awards that year. Hand-picked by AFRS and USSF leadership to stand up the Space Force recruiting enterprise.
Served as the top O-5 in the AETC headquarters — synchronizing 17 directorates and 1,000 personnel across a $9.6B budget. Ranked #1 of 37 Lieutenant Colonels in the command. Rater: AETC Deputy Commander (Major General).
Served as DO for two consecutive BMT squadrons at one of the largest military training installations in the country. First DO of a newly stood-up double-sized squadron responding to a mandated accession surge. Led the 324th to the #1 ranking of 6 squadrons for on-time graduations. Directed 10,000+ trainees across the two-year period.
Served in two successive roles at the operational headquarters for Air Force space forces. Led an emergency response for an $800M satellite asset anomaly. Reviewing officer on 2014 Officer Performance Report (OPR): 14th Air Force Commander — later the first Chief of Space Operations, U.S. Space Force.
Directed the Distributed Mission Operations Center — Space (DMOC-Space), a joint training and simulation center providing space expertise and modeling support to DoD exercises across all combatant commands. Managed an 80% increase in personnel. Served as lead briefer on the team that won the 2013 CSAF Team Excellence Award — a formal Air Force-level decoration presented by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, the service's top uniformed officer, ranked #1 of 26 teams Air Force-wide. Recipients receive the Air Force Recognition Ribbon. Unit later evolved into the 392nd Training Squadron.
Five years in nuclear operations — progressing from crew commander to wing-level Emergency War Order (EWO) instructor and Chief of ICBM Weapons & Tactics Training. Zero-defect performance environment. Led the unit through multiple high-scrutiny inspections with top ratings.
My background maps most directly to sectors where operational complexity, talent systems, and strategic transformation intersect — particularly in San Diego and coastal Southern California.
Engineering background, hands-on experience with solar and EV infrastructure, and a genuine stake in where the grid is going.
Direct USSF founding history and 22 years of operational leadership across nuclear, space, and training environments.
EMBA + military transformation background maps well to strategy and transformation consulting for government and large institutional clients.
Large-scale enterprise ops leadership — CoS, VP Operations, and Business Transformation roles in scaled San Diego organizations.
Whether you're looking for a senior operational leader, a strategic advisor, or exploring a partnership — I'm open to the right conversation. San Diego–based. Available for senior leadership or consulting engagements.
